We are going to scout Süper Lig side İstanbul Başakşehir in just a moment but first OMG YOU GUYS!!
As always - if you buy this for me you will get free access to anything I write between now and the end of time. The most mentioned player in the storied history of Sorare Daily - Randal Muani’s UNIQUE is on the market!
We now turn our attention to scouting the newest Sorare club, and 19th Turkish Süper Lig team on the platform: İstanbul Başakşehir.
Fair warning, there are some stats appearing here which may already be outdated. Başakşehir played their 18th league match of the season on Saturday (Dec 18) and with the various stat providers updating their databases at different times, some number here may only be through the first 17 games of the season. That match, a 1-1 away draw at Galatasaray was nearly won until an 87’ Mostafa Mohamed goal; the dropped points compounded by a 90+5’ Red Card to Léo Duarte. All data visualizations come from SorareData, with my thanks!
Muhammed Şengezer, GK (age 24)
The younger of the two ‘keepers used by Başakşehir in the Süper Lig this season, Sengezer is up to four league starts now, all coming in the last four matches - notably with Volkan Babacan on the bench. Two clean sheets in the four and just two goals allowed (one in each of the other two starts) has marked him as a solid option. The prices have marked him as the starter with the release coming after he posted two CS from three. This is his first year back in the Turkish top flight after having previously played with Bursaspor from 2017-29 when he made a combined 12 starts, allowing 13 goals and collecting three CS.
