If you missed it this week, I was on the Sorare Pro-Cast discussing how I scout players to find value in the market, so tune in! One item that Quinny and I touched on in that chat was the huge discrepancies in Limited card pricing. While the lower-priced cards can see sales that are 1-300% higher close within minutes of each other, that’s a function of 0.50 vs 5.10 which is driven by the minimum bid increase. What I’m talking about is saving yourself hundreds of dollars by smart shopping.
In order to do this you either need to create a bot (and I’m not a fan) or you need to steep yourself a bit in the pricing for the cards you’re chasing AND the pricing for cards which perform similarly (if you’re not wedded to the whole ‘name and a face’ aspect of buying someone like Pedri). I think it makes good sense to track pricing for similar cards and pick the one you can get for the lowest price - but then I’m a sucker for scoring and don’t care too much about a pretty face. For example: Andrej Kramarić (L5:56) comps favorably with 34 year old Iago Aspas in terms of xG+xG and SO5 scoring.
