Apologies for the slow updates here during the international break but using the time to do deep dives, line up a couple of collaborations and do some rejuvenating to ensure the content here stays fresh and crispy. Keep your eyes open for those collabs with the first one likely to land before the end of this month. Oh, and some “fun” news. I had about four hours of work get wiped out last night. So this was supposed to be one of three weekend posts going out to all subscribers. That might be down to two (today and Sunday) with an Open Edition scheduled for Monday.

Today we’re wrapping up the Bundesliga (GER) with the Age 24 players. Oh my the names we have today could create a number of SO5’s with just age 24 players. You might want to diversify a bit, but I think that an age 24 Limited stack is in my future. Let’s get into it - all data visualizations from SorareData.

Florian Müller, VfB Stuttgart

One of two U23 starters in 2021-22 who graduated from the junior circuit, following the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, Müller made 30 starts for the league’s 15th ranked club. VfB narrowly avoided the relegation places, and their defense did them no favors this past season allowing 59 goals in 34 matches and keeping just four clean sheets (all of which Müller was in goal for).

The 24-year-old goalkeeper recently inked a deal which keeps him at the club until 2025. Recruited from 1. FSV Mainz 05 on a four-year contract until 30 June 2025, Müller has averaged just under 10 points per match of All Around Score for his Sorare career. That’s not bad, but to have value between the sticks you need clean sheets and four from 30 starts isn’t sufficient. He’s an unchallenged starter for a Champions side so Rare 0.816 Ξ and Limited 0.0741 Ξ aren’t unexpected but you’d better hope Stuttgart stays up, though he’s been a starter since age 19 and should be able to secure a transfer in the even that occurs (if he wanted one).
